These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of ShowsNTrails (the "Site"), operated for the off-road and Jeep community. By creating an account or using the Site, you agree to these Terms.
You must provide accurate information when creating an account and are responsible for activity that occurs under it. You must be old enough to use the Site under applicable law in your location; a specific age requirement will be confirmed here before public launch.
When you upload a photo, video, or other file, you choose one of three visibility options at the time of upload. Each option means the following:
Only you can see this content. It still passes through our normal admin review (for content-policy and abuse screening), but it is never shown to other members or visitors.
Once approved by an admin, this content is shown to everyone using the Site — for example, in the Media Room and on the Map Wall. This grants normal display only; ShowsNTrails does not use it beyond showing it to other users browsing the Site.
Everything included in "Make Public," plus you grant ShowsNTrails permission to use this content anywhere on the Site, for any purpose — including features, promotion, and marketing.
This is a revocable license, not a transfer of ownership. You keep all rights to your content. If you later remove this permission, ShowsNTrails will make its best effort to remove the content from active use as quickly as possible. Some placements can be updated almost immediately; others — such as an already-published event page — may take longer to fully clear.
All uploaded content is reviewed by an administrator before being shown publicly, regardless of which option you choose. You may change your visibility choice for any item at any time from your profile.
Placeholder — a full acceptable-use / prohibited-conduct policy (e.g., no illegal content, harassment, spam, impersonation, copyright infringement) will be written and confirmed here before public launch.
Placeholder — policy on suspension/termination for Terms violations, and on account deletion and data export requests, will be finalized here (tracked as a Phase 0 requirement).
Placeholder — standard "as-is" service disclaimer and liability limitations will be drafted with legal review before public launch. Off-roading and related activities carry inherent risk; a specific assumption-of-risk clause will be added given the Site's subject matter.
Placeholder — policy on how and when these Terms may change, and how users will be notified, will be finalized here.
Questions about these Terms can be directed to the site administrator.
